Texas may have banned all marriage
Out of their panic in 2005 to ensure that gay couples are not allowed to get married, the citizens of Texas may have banned ALL marriage

Quote:In 2005, the state of Texas adopted an amendment to its Constitution that said marriage in the state could only be between one man and one woman. The amendment also declared: “This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.” Now, Barbara Ann Radnofsky, a Houston lawyer and Democratic candidate for attorney general, is saying that the second section effectively “eliminates marriage in Texas”:

Congrats

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope

Give a man a fish,he eats for a day.Teach a man to fish and you ruin a perfectly good business opportunity

As always, you're entitled to your stupid opinion

one of the many reasons i hate texas haha cant wait to get out of this state... lived here to long and i have only ben here for 3 years

People laugh at you when you say "I'm high on life!". But think about it, life really is a drug. You try it out, you get addicted and then it kills you in the end. Is that not the definition of a drug? ;D

I know this is a trial lawyer’s wet dream, but this is just too funny. In government, we are cautioned to watch for the “unintended consequences” of new laws and ordinances. This is quite the “unintended consequence.” Texas, in an attempt to ban same-sex marriages, may have actually made all marriages illegal.
